When I was just six years old, I looked up at the sky and told my mom, "The Earth feels so small. I want to travel up there." I never did get into space travel, but I sure did spend the rest of my life discovering just how vast Earth truly is.

I’ve always been deeply curious, wide-eyed, and hungry for more than what was directly in front of me. Fast forward to high school, where I spent a transformative month living with a family I had never met before in Costa Rica, through a program called Experiment in International Living. Not long after, I was off again, this time to Argentina, for another exchange program where I was paired with a girl my age and lived with her family in Cordoba, Argentina. These early experiences cracked open my world in the best way — giving me a real sense of how big, diverse, and fascinating life could be beyond my immediate neighborhood and culture.

Since then, I've also traveled the beautiful United States of America. I grew up in the best city in the world --New York City, and then attended university in Boston. I've seen everywhere from Key West and Miami, Florida, to Jackson, Mississippi and California. But traveling to other countries is really what stirred something deep in me. I even got the opportunity in my early 30's to live and work for some time in Japan— an experience that taught me even more about what it means to adapt, grow, and thrive in a culture not your own.

Most recently, I’ve made the decision to relocate to Europe permanently. I’m not sure how long I’ll be here, and honestly, that’s the beauty of it. What I do know is that this move — with all its complexities, paperwork, soul-searching, and brave leaps — has been the right one for me in this chapter of my life.

And through it all, I’ve realized something: I was always meant to experience life abroad. While some people might find moving and adapting to other cultures or unfamiliar systems overwhelming, I’ve always found these opportunities exciting — full of opportunity, beauty, and growth.

Relocating to another country isn’t just about wanderlust. It’s about making smart, intentional decisions about where you want to build your life. And that’s where this guide comes in.

I created this downloadable product to help fellow Americans — whether you're just starting to dream or are already halfway packed — gain clarity on where to begin.
